Dental Public Health Committee

Improving the Oral Health of Hoosiers

The Dental Public Health Committee is dedicated to improving the oral health of Hoosiers. This committee leads efforts to address critical oral health issues statewide, focusing on Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs), charitable dental care initiatives, Medicaid policies, community water fluoridation, infant oral health, special needs services and access to care. Through collaboration and innovation, the committee strives to enhance public health strategies and encourage greater participation by dental professionals in serving underserved populations. As outlined in the IDA Bylaws, the Dental Public Health Committee is responsible for studying and addressing public health issues related to dentistry and making recommendations to the Board of Trustees. Members are tasked with identifying and proposing solutions for challenges impacting oral health within Indiana.
